The main objective of NanO₂ is to understand and control the oxidation of nanomaterials in industrially and environmentally relevant conditions. NanO₂ thus aims to overcome the pressure and materials gap from single crystalline surface oxidation studies at near-UHV conditions to the ambient pressure oxidation of nanoparticles.
