Glass Workshop


Service Group Glass Workshop

In the glass workshop gadgets made of borosilicate glass and fused quartz are designed, fabricated and repaired according to the instructions of the scientists. Samples are encapsulated in different kinds of glass (vacuum or gas). Also part of the workshop's responsibilities are drilling and grinding of glass, ceramic and sapphire for which diamond drills or ultrasonic are used. Furthermore, silver and gold coating of glass gadgets and the fabrication of glass-metal-compounds are included in the wide range of tasks.
